The engine, as removed from the NX2000, May 2001

Here's some neat photos, those of the engine after we pulled it out. Cursory inspection will reveal that the block is air-conditioned. We have not yet pulled apart the bottom end, but the big end of the rod was found INSIDE the cross member in pieces, and I can see the small end of the rod inside the case down in the bottom rattling around.

This made a Very Loud Noise...

The piston over the broken rod. The piston did hit the head and the valves.

The head. There are marks on the head and valves, but we should be able to use this head with new valves in that hole.
